The TEIA Sailing Program has taught young Islanders how to sail and
have fun on the water for more than 40 years. The program teaches water safety, small boat handling, basic seamanship and sailboat cruising and racing for children ages eight to eighteen. Our fleet includes thirteen Optimists, five 420s, three Lasers, and larger boats on loan from members. Every child can learn and have fun in boats that match his or her skills and interests. The program kicks off on June 28, 2010 with a one-week sailing camp.
Regular classes begin July 5 and end August 20 (a week later than last season). Please view our most recent calendar here. Students can enroll for as little as one week. Keep checking back here for more information.
